ABOUT ME
Don’t stop until you’re proud!
How did I find my way to ski jumping?
My father was a former nordic combined athlete, and he took me to Apteekrimäe in Otepää when I was four years old. When I got there, he gave me slalom skis and boots from the equipment room so I could go down the slope. Some time later, I already tried to jump from the K5 mountain, and I participated in the first ski jumping competition at the age of five. Initially, I did nordic combined until I was 16. When I went to the Otepää branch of the Audentes Sports Gymnasium, I specialized in ski jumping. My first coach was Silver Eljand.
Since 2017, I have been a member of the Estonian ski jumping team. In the same year, I competed for the first time in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti. My first start at the World Cup series was in Wisla, Poland back in November 2017, where I was limited to the qualification. I passed the qualification to the main competition for the first time in December 2017 in Titisee-Neustdat, Germany. I earned my first point in 2018 on the Ruka mountain in Finland, where I achieved 19th place. In the 2020/2021 season, I joined the Finnish ski jumping team and my coach was Janne Väätäinen, Karl-August Tiirmaa was coaching me while I was in Estonia. After three seasons in Finland, I moved on to the Norwegian ski jumping team, where the team’s head coach is Alexander Stöckl and my daily coach is Thomas Lobben.
